So are you done with brewing your app or still in the process? 🤔
It is never too early to set up your Google Play Store Developer account as it takes time to familiarize yourself with the platform and prepare content for your app listing. Keep your business details & Credit Card ($25 one-time setup fee) handy.
In this post, we will walk you through the steps to be taken to get your Google Play account up and running. Let’s get started 😄
Step 1 - Visit https://play.google.com/console/u/0/signup/ link to get started
Step 2 - Select the Email ID the account will use. Pro tip: Use a separate email ID for all your developer accounts. If you don’t have one already create one.
Step 3 - Google will ask for 2 step verification on the account if not already present. Enable that to move ahead.
Step 4 - You get two options - Either to create the account for personal use (non-professional use) or for your organization/business. Any guesses which one you should select? Bingo, choose “Organization or business”.
Step 5 - Fill in some details about your business and re-authenticate a mobile number & Email ID on the page
Step 6 - Pay a one time $25 fee to setup your account. 💰
Step 7 - Voila! Your account is now up and running and you’re ready to push your app to millions of Android users. 🚀
Note: All the apps submitted to the Google Play Store are reviewed after submission. This process can take time up to 7 days and in some exceptional cases could take longer as well. Please find more details about the review process here in this link.
