Create a Google Play developer account

Introduction

This guide will walk you through the process of creating a Google Play Developer Account which is necessary for publishing and managing apps on the Google Play Store.

Pre-requisites

Before you login, make sure you have the following:

  • A Google Account (Gmail)

  • A Valid Credit Card For Registration Fees

  • Your Personal or Business Information

It is never too early to set up your Google Play Store Developer account as it takes time to familiarize yourself with the platform and prepare content for your app listing. Keep your business details & Credit Card ($25 one-time setup fee) handy.

Step By Step Guide

  1. Go to Google Play Console

  1. Turn On 2-Step Verfication

  • Make sure you are already signed in into your Google Account.

  • Choose the Google Account you want to get ahead with. (💡Tip: Use a separate email ID for all your developer accounts)

  • Click on “Turn On 2-step Verification” to move ahead with the verification process.

  1. Choose Account Type

  • After completing the 2-Step Verification, choose the account type.

  • Since you are creating the account for your company or business, so choose “A Company or Business”

  1. Fill the Details

  • Fill in all the necessary details about you and your business.

  • Re-authenticate a mobile number & Email ID on the page

  1. Accept the Developer Agreement

  • Read through the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement

  • If you agree, check the box to accept the terms

  • Click "Continue"

  1. Pay the Registration Fee

  • You'll be prompted to verify your organisation and pay a one-time registration fee (usually $25 USD)

  • Enter your credit card information

  • Complete the payment process

  1. Voila! Your account is now up and running and you’re ready to push your app to millions of Android users. 🚀

How to share access with your App Developer?

Share Access to Play Console:

  • Go to Play Console

  • Click on the developer account

  • You should see a screen like this. Click on user and permissions.

  • Navigate three dots on top right corner

  • Click on Export User List

  • Fill user details (Email Address)

  • Grant the permission for Admin access

Done! You have now shared your access to Google Play Console

Note: All the apps submitted to the Google Play Store are reviewed after submission. This process can take time up to 7 days and in some exceptional cases could take longer as well. Please find more details about the review process here in this link.
