Context

When you set up automatic discounts in Shopify, they are applied automatically to the cart in your mobile app. However, customers may not be able to see the discount name or title (like "NEW10" or "EXTRA35") that shows the specific promotion being applied, similar to how it appears on website.

Answer

Automatic discount names can be displayed in your mobile app's cart section. The discount titles will appear in the coupons section of the cart, showing customers which promotions have been automatically applied to their order.

Current limitations:

  • Discount names cannot be displayed under individual product names - they only appear in the dedicated coupons section

  • If you are using the multi-coupon setup (which allows to apply multiple couples simultaneously) - all applied coupons will be shown together, including any free gift promotions that cannot be hidden separately

  • If you notice duplicate discount names appearing, this may indicate a configuration issue that should be reported for debugging
