Your Product Detail Page (PDP) is where shoppers make purchase decisions, and this feature set gives you complete control over the core elements that drive conversion:

  • Product Summary: A quick snapshot of the product, including price, ratings, and key highlights

  • Variant Selection: A flexible system for displaying size, color, or custom options

  • Product Description: Rich, collapsible sections to present detailed information like care instructions, ingredients, or policies

These sections are fully customizable and designed to support both simple products and advanced configurations.

Configuration

These sections are automatically included in your PDP layout and can be customized through the Appbrew dashboard. You can update the styling, text layout, and behavior, or request help from our team for advanced setups.

Product Summary (Top of PDP)

  • Displays the product title, price, discount (if applicable), and short summary

  • Optionally includes a star rating, SKU, and share button

  • Updates dynamically when a customer selects a different variant

Variant Selector

  • Let customers choose size, color, material, or any other variant

  • Supports swatches, dropdowns, and styled option buttons

  • Options can be visual (e.g., color circles) or text-based (e.g., “Small”, “Medium”)

Product Description

  • Displays product info using collapsible sections (accordion-style)

  • Content is pulled directly from your Shopify product description field

  • Supports rich formatting and clickable links

Can I hide or show specific elements in the summary section (like ratings or share icons)?

Yes. You can customize which elements appear via the dashboard, or we can assist if needed.

Can I change how variant options appear?

Yes. You can choose between text buttons, dropdowns, or color swatches. This can be configured by product type.

Does the pricing update when a customer selects a variant?

Yes. The price and compare-at price update instantly based on the selected variant.

Can I organize my product description into sections?

Yes. Just use <h3> tags in your Shopify description to create section headers. The app will automatically split the content into collapsible panels.

Is it possible to link out from the description (e.g., to a return policy)?

Yes. Any links in your Shopify description will work in the app.

Can I include a size chart?

Yes. If enabled, a “Size Guide” button can appear next to size options and open a modal with the chart.

Can I disable the accordion and just show the full description?

Yes. You can choose whether the product description is collapsed or fully expanded by default.

What if I only sell single-variant products?

The variant selector will hide automatically if there’s only one option available.
