Renewing the Apple Developer Program (Company/Organization)

Who can renew

Only the Account Holder can complete the renewal and pay.


Step 1 — Sign in and renew

  1. Ask the Account Holder to sign in at developer.apple.com/account with their Apple ID.

  2. On the Membership card, click Renew Membership.

  3. Confirm the Company/Organization details (legal name must match Apple’s records/D-U-N-S).

  4. Pay the annual fee (US$99 or local equivalent) by credit/debit card.

  5. The account typically reactivates within minutes (allow up to 24 hours). You’ll get a confirmation email.

Tip: Have the Account Holder’s device handy for two-factor authentication.


Step 2 — Post-renewal checklist (do these right after payment)

Note : If already on track, then can skip this.

  1. Accept latest agreements

    • Go to App Store Connect → Agreements, Tax, and Banking.

    • Review & Accept any new agreements (especially the Paid Applications Agreement).

    • Update Banking and Tax info if Apple shows them as required/expired.

  2. Certificates & keys

    • In Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, confirm your signing certs and profiles are still valid.

    • APNs (.p8) keys typically remain valid, but it’s a good moment to verify nothing is expired.


If the Account Holder isn’t available

You must transfer the Account Holder role before you can pay.

  • The current Account Holder can transfer the role in App Store Connect → Users and Access → Account Holder Transfer.

  • If the holder has left and you can’t access that Apple ID, contact Apple Developer Support to verify the organization and request a role transfer.


Common blockers & fixes

  • No “Renew” button / stuck banner: Make sure you’re signed in as Account Holder, clear cache, or try a private window.

  • Legal name/D-U-N-S mismatch: The company name must match D-U-N-S. If it doesn’t, update records with Dun & Bradstreet or contact Apple.

  • Payment failed: Use a card that allows international/online charges and 3-D Secure; try another browser/card if needed.

  • Apps still not showing: Check the app’s Availability and that all Agreements/Banking/Tax items are accepted.


What to send us after renewal

  • A screenshot of Membership: Active (Developer portal), and

  • Confirmation that Agreements, Tax, and Banking shows No action required,

  • Confirmation the app is Back on sale in the territories you need.
