This guide walks you through how the Bitespeed customer engagement platform seamlessly integrates WhatsApp messaging into your Shopify store. It’s designed to help you understand key benefits, features, and the simple steps to get up and running—so you can delight customers and boost sales with minimal technical effort.

Note: In-app notifications aren't supported at Bitespped teams end.

3. Getting Started: Prerequisites

Before we begin, please provide:

  • Production Environment

    • Your Bitespeed API Key

  • Staging/Test Environment (if available)

    • Test API Key

    • Storefront URL

Your tech team or Bitespeed administrator can generate these in the Bitespeed dashboard.

4. Implementation Overview

We follow a clear 4‑step process to make setup painless:

  1. Share Credentials
    You provide API keys and any Bitespeed account details.

  2. Integration Setup
    Our team installs and configures the Bitespeed plugin in your Shopify store.

  3. Testing
    You review flows—opt‑in, cart recovery, broadcasts, chat—on staging or directly in production.

  4. Launch
    Finalize settings, publish the widget, and go live! Your team can create and schedule campaigns in the Bitespeed dashboard.

Timeline: Typically 5–7 working days from receipt of credentials.

5. How It Works

  1. Event Trigger: Shopify events (abandoned cart, new order) fire API calls to Bitespeed.

  2. Message Delivery: Bitespeed sends WhatsApp messages via Gateway API.

  3. Data Sync: Customer profiles and interaction data flow back into Bitespeed for reporting.

6. What’s Out of Scope

  • No mobile SDK or native app integration in this phase.

  • Two‑way ticketing workflows are not included.

  • Campaign creation and audience segmentation must be managed in the Bitespeed dashboard.

  • Analytics and campaign insights will remain within Bitespeed (not surfaced in Shopify).

  • Advanced audience segmentation features in Bitespeed UI are not configurable from Appbrew

7. Next Steps & Support

  1. Share your API credentials as detailed in Section 3.

  2. Appbrew will work on the integration (at-least 2 weeks)

  3. Test and iterate on your messaging flows.

  4. Launch and monitor performance in Bitespeed analytics.
