Amount Off Products
Last updated: March 31, 2026
Amount Off Products in Appbrew are promotions applied directly to specific products or collections in a customer’s cart. Unlike order discounts, which apply to the total cart value, product discounts target individual items. These offers can be configured to trigger based on quantity, cart content, or a combination of both.
Product discounts can be either percentage-based or fixed-amount
Getting Started
Amount Off Products discounts allow you to apply either a percentage discount or a fixed monetary discount on selected products or collections. These discounts are perfect for running promotions on specific product lines, encouraging bulk purchases, or highlighting app-exclusive offers.
This guide will walk you through how to set up and launch a product-level discount using the Appbrew Dashboard.
You can configure the following types of product discounts:
Percentage off specific products (e.g., “Get 15% off on all skincare items”)
Fixed amount off selected products (e.g., “Get ₹100 off on selected shoes”)
Buy X, Get Y% or ₹ off on products (e.g., “Buy 2 T-shirts, get 10% off each”)
These can be combined with quantity thresholds, customer tags, and other conditions to create flexible and targeted campaigns.
The following table outlines the available discount configuration options -

FAQ
Q: Can I Combine Multiple Product Discounts on the Same Item?
A: No. Multiple product discounts cannot be combined on the same product. This is a Shopify platform limitation that applies to all apps (including Appbrew) and manual discounts. If two product discounts target the same item, only one will be applied—typically the one with the higher value.
Alternative Solution: Use Order Discounts for Stacking
If you want to offer stackable discounts, we recommend using an Order Discount instead. Here’s why:
Order discounts can be combined with:
Bundle Discounts
Promotional Codes
Shipping Discounts
They apply to the total cart, not individual products—allowing greater flexibility.
Please refer to Shopify’s official documentation on discount combinations (https://help.shopify.com/) for advanced rules and restrictions.
Q: Why is my collection-specific discount applying incorrectly when products from different collections are in the cart?
Context
You may encounter an issue where a discount configured for a specific collection (such as "15% off when 2 products are added from that collection") applies incorrectly when the cart contains one product from the target collection and another product from outside that collection. This happens with "Amount off Product" discount types.
Answer
This occurs because the current discount module doesn't support configuring minimum purchase requirements that apply only to specific collections for "Amount Off Product" discounts. The system may incorrectly count products from different collections toward the minimum quantity requirement.
To resolve this issue:
Contact our support team with details about the affected discount(s)
Our team can implement a backend fix to modify the discount logic for your specific use case
Once implemented, test the discount by adding one product from the target collection and another product from outside that collection
Verify that the discount no longer applies incorrectly during checkout
We are currently working on enhanced platform-wide support for the discount module to better handle these edge cases and prevent similar issues in the future.
If you have multiple discounts that need similar logic updates, please provide a list of all affected discount names when contacting support so they can be configured simultaneously.
