To start running campaigns on Meta, ensure following things are in place to enable event tracking for you Ad campaigns.

Step 1 - Add iOS app ID to Facebook developer app

  1. Go to Facebook developer

  2. Click on Basic under App settings

  1. Scroll down to the iOS section and enter your iPhone Store ID. You can find your store ID by navigating to your App Store listing. App ID is the number between id and ?in your listing URL. Click on Save.


Step 2 - Connect your business manager to the Facebook developer app

  1. Open Business settings.

  2. Below People and Assets, go to Apps.

  3. Click Add New App and select either Add an App or Request Access to an App.

  4. Enter the Facebook app ID.

Step 3 - Connect the Facebook app to your Ad accounts

First, ensure that the ad account you want to use is already an asset of a business portfolio connected to the app. If it isn't, you can follow the steps in the previous section to add an ad account as a connected app asset.

If the ad account is already an asset of a business portfolio connected to the app, then you can do the following to add an ad account:

  1. Go to Business settings for the business.

  2. Under Accounts, choose Apps and select the desired app.

  3. Select the Connected Assets tab and then select Add Assets.

  4. Select the desired ad account and then select Add.


Step 4 - Associate your catalogue with your app

To connect your pixel or app SDK to your catalogue as an events data source:

  1. Go to Business settings.

  2. Open the Data Sources tab and go to Catalogues

  1. Select Associate sources

  2. Under Connection, turn on the toggle next to the pixel or app SDK that you want to use and select Save. You can disconnect the pixel or app SDK from your catalogue at any time by turning off the toggle next to it.
