Before launching campaigns on Meta, make sure event tracking is properly configured by following these steps:
Go to Facebook Developer.
In the left menu, click App Settings → Basic.
Scroll down to the iOS section and enter your App Store ID.
To find your App Store ID, open your app’s App Store listing.
The ID is the number between id and ? in the listing URL.
Click Save.
Open Business Settings in Meta Business Manager.
Under People and Assets, go to Apps.
Click Add New App and choose:
Add an App, or
Request Access to an App.
Enter your Facebook App ID.
Note:
You may be unable to add an app if:
The app is already added to another Business Manager, or
You’re not an admin in the Facebook Developer app settings.
Make sure your ad account is already an asset of the business portfolio linked to the app.
If not, follow the previous section to add it.
Go to Business Settings for your business.
Under Accounts → Apps, select the app.
Open the Connected Assets tab → click Add Assets.
Select the desired ad account → click Add.
Go to Business Settings.
Under Data Sources, select Catalogues.
Click Associate Sources.
Under Connection, enable the toggle next to the pixel or app SDK you want to use.
Click Save.
Tip: You can disconnect the pixel or SDK anytime by turning the toggle off.
Once these steps are complete, your app, catalogue, and ad accounts will be fully connected, enabling proper event tracking for your Meta campaigns.
