Searchanise
Last updated: December 24, 2025
Searchanise is a tool that makes your app’s search smarter and your product collections easier to explore. It helps customers quickly find what they’re looking for with real-time search suggestions, flexible filters, and personalized sorting.
Whether a shopper is browsing a collection or typing in a search term, Searchanise helps them discover the right products faster — and makes the shopping experience feel smooth and tailored.
Configuration
You can set up and manage Searchanise directly from your Studio dashboard. No coding or developer support is required.
To set it up:
Go to the Integrations section in your Studio dashboard.
Add the Searchanise integration to your app.
Fill in the required settings:
API Key: This is provided by your Searchanise account and connects your app to your product data.
Shop Domain: This is your Shopify store’s URL (e.g.,
yourstore.myshopify.com).
Once you’ve added this information, Searchanise will power your app’s search and filter experience. You can return to the dashboard at any time to update your settings.
Use Cases
Searchanise gives you several useful tools to improve how customers find and explore your products:
1. Smarter Search
As shoppers type, Searchanise shows matching products and popular search terms instantly. There's no need to press enter — results appear right away.
2. Easy-to-Use Filters
Customers can narrow their results using filters such as:
Price range (e.g., under $50)
Vendor or brand
Product category
Tags (like “organic” or “new arrival”)
Ratings or review count
3. Useful Sorting Options
You can offer different ways for shoppers to sort products, including:
Price: low to high or high to low
Best-selling
Newest first
Customer reviews
Alphabetical order
4. Recently Viewed Products
Searchanise supports showing customers the products they recently looked at, helping them return to items they were considering.
5. Search Within Collections
Collection pages can also be powered by Searchanise, meaning filters and sorting can work inside each collection — not just the global search.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
Q: I’ve set up Searchanise, but filters don’t show on collection pages. Why?
A: Some collection pages may not currently support filters due to layout limitations. If you’ve configured filters in Searchanise but they’re not showing, check with your support team — this may improve in future updates.
Q: Can I set a different default sort order for each collection?
A: Not at this time. Searchanise does not support different sort settings for each collection within the app. All collections follow one general sort setup.
Q: My website sorts products one way, but the app looks different. Why?
A: The app may be using Searchanise settings, while your website may follow different logic or a Shopify default. These systems don’t always match exactly.
Q: I made updates in Searchanise, but they don’t show up in the app. What should I check?
A: Make sure the API Key and Shop Domain are correct in your Studio dashboard. If they are, give it a few minutes — sometimes updates take a little time. If the issue continues, reach out to your support contact.
Q: Is a developer needed to set up Searchanise?
A: No — the integration is fully self-serve. You can manage it from your dashboard at any time.
Q: Can I show recently viewed products inside search results?
A: Yes, as long as your app layout supports it. This can help customers return to products they were already interested in.
