Order Status Push Notifications (Self-Serve Setup)

You can now set up and customize order status push notifications directly from the dashboard — no need to reach out to the Appbrew team anymore.

This allows you to keep your users informed at every stage of their order journey.

What you can do

  • Send automated push notifications for key order updates

  • Customize messaging to match your brand voice

  • Preview notifications before going live

  • Set everything up in just a few steps

Supported Order Statuses

You can send notifications for the following stages:

  • Ready for Pickup

  • In Transit (Shipped)

  • Out for Delivery

  • Delivered

Prerequisites

Before setting this up, please ensure:

  • Push notifications are enabled for your app

  • Users have opted in to receive push notifications

  • Order statuses are syncing correctly from Shopify

How to Set It Up

Step 1: Navigate to Push Notifications

Go to:
Dashboard → Push → Automated

Click on “Order Tracking” → Get Started

Step 2: Configure Each Status

You’ll see a list of delivery statuses on the left.

Select a status (e.g., Ready for Pickup) and configure:

Title

  • Short and attention-grabbing

  • Example: Your Order is Ready!

Message

  • Add more context for the user

  • Example: Your items are all set and waiting to be shipped

💡 You can use dynamic variables like:

  • {order_id} to show the order number

Step 3: Add Notification Image (Optional)

  • Upload an image to make your notification more engaging

  • Supported formats: .jpg, .png

  • Max size: 1MB

Step 4: Preview & Test

  • Use the preview panel to see how the notification will appear

  • Click “Send test notification” to validate

Step 5: Save & Activate

Once configured, proceed and activate the notifications.

Your users will now receive automated updates based on order status changes.
